Sorry I didn't tell you guys before I left, but hey, better late than never right? Ahem, anyway, I was just on a long trip to California and Nevada, more specifically Las Vegas and San Diego (and Los Angeles, but we mostly stayed in San Diego).
Now about Las Vegas. My family and I went to Las Vegas to see Lady GaGa in concert, which was f***ing awesome. (I love Lady GaGa!) As anyone would expect, Lady GaGa is quite the performer. The costumes were extravagant, the stage was extravagant, and a good number of her fans were too. She performed many songs from her new album, ArtPop, as well as some older ones like Just Dance and Poker Face. In Las Vegas, we also saw the Jabbawockeez, and they were awesome, the Bodies Exhibit (Well I did with my dad while my mom and sister went shopping.), which was very cool, gross, but cool, and the Bellagio fountains (at night), which was awesome.
The day after the concert, we left for California and drove through the Mojave Desert. By the way, the desert looks like a whole other planet, I kid you not. Just look up what a Joshua tree looks like if you don't know already. When we got to California, we met up with some very close friends.
Now this next part, went sour... real sour... but it's only this part, I swear (also beware for there may be curse words here) . My mom and sister watch a TV show called So You Think You Can Dance and are big fans. Some of you may watch it as well. I don't, because I have no interest, but that's not really relevant here. My friends also watch it and are big fans as well. Well we got "tickets" to go see the show live... well... let's just say these "tickets" are more.... possibility than confirmation. There was no guarantee that we would get it. I didn't care whether or not we got in because I don't watch the show and am not really a fan, but everyone else, excluding the dads, did. Lord.... we dressed up all fancy and according to the "dress code" to increase are chances of getting in... yeah, they didn't really follow that as far as I'm concerned. We saw the opening act (they prerecord it)and everything was all well and good. Then... we had to wait in-line for the real show, which didn't start for a couple hours.... we got food, umbrellas, and trash bags to sit on while we waited in the heat. When the time finally came around. we had to wait some more, because appearently, if you didn't get to see the opening show (and you stuck around to see what would happen), you were guaranteed a seat for the actual show... I don't get how that works, but okay... then a school bus showed up... and all of these kids went in... this really pissed me off because we had been waiting out in the heat for hours.... and these kids just show the f*** up out of no where and just walk right in... grrrrr... then when we were finally allowed in... these people took my sister, friends, and me out of the line and said that because we are teenagers we are going to stand in the pit... STAND IN THE PIT.... AFTER HAVING STOOD IN LINE AND SAT OUTSIDE IN THE HEAT FOR HOURS AND IN DRESS CLOTHES... WE WERE GOING TO STAND FOR TWO MORE HOURS.... and that's not all... we were put behind tall people....you see my friends and family are kind of short... so we couldn't see sh**... we asked to move in-front of the tall people... but we were told no....for real?! Thankfully these nice (tall) kids moved out of the way... and for them I'm very appreciative unfortunately, they're efforts were mostly in vain as there were more tall kids who didn't move and we could still barely see a thing... this.... just this.... oh my god... it sucked.... so bad... I was so happy when the show ended... and that should NOT be the case... never again... never... on the upside, the day before I got awesome shirts... but other than that, it was torture.
Anyway, after that, was Comic-Con! Now that! My friends, is when things became awesome again. There were people in costumes everywhere! I went on all four days, two days I wore normal clothing, one day I dressed up as a scout from Attack on Titan, and on another day as someone from Star Trek. I got episodes 1-48 of Fairy Tail on DVD, and on the final day... I got to meet... Vic... Mignogna... VIC... FREAKIN'... MIGNOGNA! The English voice of Edward Elric, Tamaki Suoh, and many more. Oh my god, he was so nice! I got an autograph and a picture with him! It was so f***ing awesome!!!!!!
And that's that. I'm happy to be home.
